Last weekend Oziel and I moved into an apartment in Kristianstad. With our IKEA delivery to arrive next week the 113 square metres are feeling a little bare, but it is starting to come together.
We are very happy with the apartment. They finished renovating just before we moved in, removing all traces of the previous tenants except for the smell of cigarettes in the coat closet. I still find it odd that an unfurnished Swedish apartment comes with fridge, but no lights, But I am happier buying the lights than the fridge.
This last weekend we hired the largest car I have driven to date – a Toyota Hiace – and took it in turns to move Oziel’s stuff from Malmö and my things from Karlskrona, and finally we made it to IKEA, where even the Hiace (with it’s unmovable seats) was not able to accommodate all of our purchases.
